Movement Specialist | NeuFit Certified Therapist | Nervous System Guide

I believe that true healing begins when we look beyond the symptoms and address the body as a whole, interconnected system. My mission is to help you restore "balance and flow" by combining mindful movement with advanced neurological technology meeting you where you are at anywhere along the healing spectrum. By focusing on the most overlooked part of the body—the nervous system—we can unlock your innate capacity to heal, adapt, and perform.

My Specialized Skill Sets:
  • Movement Specialist: Rooted in the principles of Pilates and Medical Therapeutic Yoga, and the Functional Foundations Method, I integrate a diverse range of corrective techniques to rebuild stability and cultivate ease within the body. I focus on creating sustainable, pain-free movement patterns and programs that support your long-term health.

  • NeuFit Certified Therapist: As a certified practitioner in the NeuFit Method, I utilize the Neubie device to communicate directly with your neurology. This allows us to identify and reset the neurological "disconnects" that often hinder recovery from pain, injury, and surgery.

  • Nervous System Guide: My work is heavily informed by the study of the autonomic nervous system. I am trained in Somatic Experiencing (SEI), founded by Peter Levine, and utilize Heart Rate Variability (HRV), certified by the HeartMath Institute , to monitor and support your systemic recovery. I also integrate advanced breathing techniques, including The Integrative Breathing Method, developed by Dr Rosalba Courtney, Buteyko Breathing, and Restorative Breathing to help regulate physiology and reduce the impact of chronic stress.

  • Hypermobility & EDS Expertise: I have a dedicated interest in supporting the hypermobile community. I am an active participant in the EDS ECHO Programs and am a certified Hypermobility Functional Foundations practitioner through the specialized program developed by Susan Chalela,PT & Leslie Russek, PT.

  • TMJ & Myofunctional Therapy: I provide specialized care for temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders, focusing on the critical relationship between the jaw, neck, airway function and whole-body posture. I was certified in Myofunctional Therapy, through the AOMT and trained with Dr Mariano Rocabado for TMJ advance education.

Educational Background & Personal Interests:
Formal degrees I have earned include a BS in Health Science from St. Mary's College of CA (1999), Master's degree from Samuel Merritt University (2002) and an OCS, a specialist certification through the American Physical Therapy Association. The specialist certification program was established to provide formal recognition for physical therapists with advanced clinical knowledge, experience, and skills in a special area of practice, as well as to assist consumers and the healthcare community in identifying these physical therapists.
I am a fully committed lifelong learner, constantly following my curiosities and evolving my practice to ensure you have access to the most effective, evidence-based tools available.

When I’m not in the clinic, I find my own "flow" by spending time with family and friends, traveling, being active, especially outdoors, cooking, eating, and playing.
